I didn't watch this anime episode properly...never knew that it was almost canon! Anyway, I do look forward to Usopp's reunion with Yasopp and their tearful father-son moment...but first thing's first. I dearly hope Usopp would pull a Naruto and sucker punch Yasopp in the guts before getting gooey!!! D:< If Oda doesn't have anything like that in mind I'm going to be disappointed in him and feel extremely sorry for Usopp D:<<

hahaha I think that's a pretty common sentiment! At least, I hear it a lot.

For me though I don't think he will and I doubt that he will. Usopp was maybe four when he left. He holds no anger or resentment toward his father. He actually seems quite proud of him. Bachina was also proud of Yasopp for following his dreams-- and there might be other reasons he didn't stay put. Maybe the village didn't quite accept him. Maybe he felt out of place. Whatever the reason, he followed his dreams.

As for Usopp? Well he's not really vindictive like that. I think the meeting between him and Yasopp will have Usopp being the nervous party, wondering if he lives up to his father's expectations, or if he even could. There will be tears no doubt about that but violence? I can't imagine him doing it.

But it's all theory so who knows right?
